kudumbasreeEdappal: The KPCC and its tributary organisations are planning to ensure their place in Kudumbashree in the state. It is assumed that they faced a setback in the recent local body election due to the lack of attention in various levels of Kudumbashree. Following this, KPCC instructed the organisations under it to focus on Kudumbashree.

KPCC general secretary M Murali issued a circular ahead of the notification of election to various levels of Kudumbashree on Monday. The new administrative committees will come into power on March 1.

Congress assumes that if they could influence the CDS, ADS and Ayalkoottam elections, it will have a major impact on the assembly election. Though Kudumbashree has become highly influential among the common people, Congress and its organisations were not paying attention to it.

The party has directed its members to ensure that they can make impact in the Kudumbashree before the assembly polls. The ward, constituency and block committees are asked to work for this purpose. KPCC aims at reducing the CPM domination in Kudumbashree.

Though there are many Kudumbashree workers who support Congress, they are compelled to join CPM workers as Congress does not intervene in its activities. Due to this, the CPM could ensure presence of women in the election, it is assumed.
