Congress remained silent when DYFI workers were active during COVID times: K Sudhakaran
Irikkur (Kannur): Congress leader K Sudhakaran made a self-criticism on lapses from Congress during the local body election. He added that the Congress workers remained mute spectators when DYFI workers were active during COVID crisis. Sudhakaran was inaugurating UDF election convention in Irikkur.
We are living in a society which prioritises their families and vote for those who support them. Then we have to convince that we are protecting them. So, we should be more active among the public, Sudhakaran said.
The COVID restrictions stopped our members from getting active. But CPM cunningly overcame this trouble by distributing food kits, medicines and pension through their volunteers during COVID. We remained silent while DYFI activists actively helped the public, Sudhakaran said.
Congress workers failed to bring many issues to the attention of the people. Only 40 percent of people know the issues like gold smuggling case. I assure that Pinarayi Vijayan will be imprisoned, if UDF comes to power. He is the first person to rule a state as a burglar, Sudhakaran alleged.
