Chengannur: Congress MP Kodikunnil Suresh lauded the Kerala government and minister Saji Cheriyan citing the developmental works at Chengannur constituency in Alappuzha.
“We are living in a period in which our land is achieving whatever it needs,” said Suresh in the presence of minister Saji Cheriyan. The minister and Congress MP were attending an inaugural ceremony of an educational building in Chengannur.
“Chengannur is progressing with enough new roads, bridges, district hospital buildings and facilities, and government offices now. No one can surpass Saji Cheriyan in his heed to developmental projects. I failed when I made an attempt,” said Kodikunnil Suresh.
He said Chengannur became one of the constituencies which developed swiftly.
Kodikunnil said that the people’s representatives have to take initiatives to implement developmental projects instead of accusing the officials for delay. His remarks came up following Congress MLA PC Vishnunadh’s speech alleging lapses of officials hinder developmental works in the state.
