Kochi: Opposition leader VD Satheesan said that Congress is expecting a huge win in the Thrikkakara by-election through the UDF candidate Uma Thomas. He said that they are not looking for sympathy votes over the demise of P T Thomas. Satheesan added that Uma Thomas is an able candidate who can win hearts of the voters.

“UDF has strong roots in the Thrikkakara constituency. The activities started in the constituency earlier itself. We are not considering the minor objections against the decision on the UDF candidate. We know how to keep them at bay. Congress is expecting a huge win at Thrikkakara. UDF is a democratic party, so differences of opinion are only common. The differences in opinion will be discussed and sorted out,” said V D Satheesan.

He also raised criticism against the LDF’s government’s brainchild, SilverLine project.
