Thiruvananthapuram: The opposition has declared that strong protests will be staged across the state demanding the resignation of minister KT Jaleel. Congress and BJP have been protesting against Jaleel after the Enforcement Directorate questioned the minister over gold smuggling case. Congress and BJP leaders declared that they will continue the protest until the resignation of minister KT Jaleel.
Youth Congress and KSU will conduct a protest march to secretariat demanding the minister’s resignation on Saturday morning. It is reported that Yuva Morcha will also organize a secretariat march against the minister.
On Friday night, the police resorted to lathi-charge against the Yuva Morcha activists who staged a protest in front of the secretariat. Many activists were injured in the lathi-charge. Protesting against this, BJP will observe black day on Saturday.
