Kozhikode: KPCC former president Mullappally Ramachandran has criticised MP Shashi Tharoor again over his recent remarks in support of the LDF government.
Mullappally said that Shashi Tharoor should not forget the party while expressing his views. Party workers took effort day and night to help him win. Mullappally also demanded that the national leadership should intervene to correct Tharoor.
Congress has always been a party of those who uphold discipline. Mullappally reminded that no one loyal to the party will forget the party's policies while reacting. He added that as Tharoor is a national leader and MP, he would not comment further and that the national leadership should control him in this regard.
However, KC Venugopal said that the AICC has not received any complaint against Tharoor. The KPCC leadership had already commented on Tharoor's case and that the national leadership was convinced on the same. We will make our stand clear when the issue comes before us, he said.
Mullappally had earlier criticized Tharoor's response on the K-Rail issue. Mullappally Ramachandran had openly said that party code of conduct is applicable to Tharoor as well and that the High Command should take action against him.
