New Delhi: National President of Indian Youth Congress B V Srinivas stated that they have decided to freeze the selection of five Keralites including the son of Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan as the national spokespersons of Youth Congress due to some confusions.

Srinivas had appointed 72 Congress workers as national spokespersons on Wednesday. The initial list included Athira Rajendran, Neethu Usha, Preethi, Denni Jose and Arjun Radhakrishnan in it. But certain confusions that emerged regarding the list forced them to freeze it and Srinivas also told Mathrubhumi that the uncertainties have no connection with the names suggested from Kerala.

Though Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan has close ties with the ‘A’ Group and Oommen Chandy, the conflicts took place over the selection of Opposition leader and the reorganisation of Congress had brought out fissures among them. Now Thiruvanchoor has decided to support the High Command and Congress leadership as the party is going through a messed up state.

Arjun Radhakrishnan had raised his voice against BJP state president K Surendran in Kodakara hawala case. Surendran had earlier alleged that Arjun indulged in discussions with the ministers in Gujarat regarding his business there when Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan was the home minister in Kerala. So, Arjun said that the recent incidents was a lesson for Surendran for his previous comments.

Arjun Radhakrishnan is the third person among the sons of party leaders, who sought political future with the recommendation of national leadership. Earlier A K Antony’s son Anil Antony and Oommen Chandy’s son Chandy Oommen had entered politics with the help of national leaders.
