New Delhi: The High Command has ordered the KPCC to closely monitor those who make public comments that would affect the party adversely. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has advised that such people are not supposed to be office bearers in KPCC or DCC offices and this should be informed to the leadership.
KC Venugopal, the general secretary of the organisation, said that the high command would give full support to K Sudhakaran who is changing the Congress into a semi-cadre party.
The KPCC has said that no attempt should be made to bring back AV Gopinath, who resigned after insulting the party. Also, intraparty democracy in the party will be strengthened and anyone can make any criticism inside and during the party forums.
However, the details of those who make public comments about the party should be handed over to the High Command. They added that even if discussions were held, only thte decisions taken by the KPCC president and the opposition leader will be given priority.
Rahul Gandhi was provoked when the senior leader who were selected as the DCC presidents were called ‘box carriers’. Following this, he demanded the complete statement made by the leaders. Tariq Anwar will hand over this to Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday or Wednesday, according to reports.
