Congress office set on fire in Unnikulam
Kozhikode: The Congress office in Unnikulam here was set on fire in the wee hours of Friday. Last night there was a scuffle between the CPM and Congress here. Following this, the office was set on fire around 2 am.
The residence of Congress activist Latheef was pelted with stone and the car parked in porch was vandalized.
The conflict and violent incidents were the extension of the Panoor Mansoor murder. The scuffle at Thursday night was during the protest march of UDF. Many persons were injured in the incident.
Heavy security has been deployed in the area in view of further untoward incidents.
