Thiruvananthapuram: The Lokayukta received a complaint against Minister for Forests AK Saseendran in connection with the Kundara sexual assault case. The complaint was lodged by Paichira native Nawaz, RTI activist and state general secretary of the youth wing of Bharatiya National Janata Dal.

The complaint seeks an immediate order from the Chief Minister to remove Saseendran from the minister post as he called the complainant girl's father and demanded to settle the case. The complaint alleged that Saseendran committed an abuse of power, nepotism and breach of oath. He can no longer be legally allowed to continue as a minister.

The controversy intensified when Saseendran called for a settlement after an NCP leader in Kundara had assaulted the woman. The phone conversation between Saseendran and the girl's father was then leaked.
