The acceptance of resignation incidentally comes a day after reports said Jayarajan's wife Indira and son Jaison have decided to sell off their shares over CPM’s intervention. However, CPM refuted the reports and maintained that it had no role. Similarly, Jayarajan's remarks on family members’ decision to sell shares remain confusing. Meanwhile, Rajesh Pattath is a CPM local committee member of Shornur unit and former DYFI leader.

It may be noted that the resort is in bad light over Income Tax raid. There are many allegations against the resort and it is reportedly under Enforcement Directorate’s scanner.

According to the documents retrieved by Mathrubhumi News, the resignation was tendered months back. Rajesh in his resignation has cited personal reasons for the decision but was not available for comment on the matter. The company’s chairperson and EP Jayarajan's wife Indira has handed over the resignation-related documents to the company registrar, said reports.
