Kannur: CPM leader P Jayarajan, who called for voluntary organisations to help believers offering balitharpan, clarified that a communist holds a different view than a rationalist.
In his Facebook post, Jayarajan asked people to alienate those who misguide believers into a path of religious fanatism. He added that it was the responsibility of everyone to unveil the "agendas" of such people.
The Communists have taken an uncompromising stand against the misdeeds in the name of priesthood and religion. But like rationalists, seeing people's beliefs as the basis of all problems and declaring war against them is not the way of communists, Jayarajan added.
