Thiruvananthapuram: After a long break due to the pandemic, students will start going to colleges from Monday onwards. The class has been started for the final year students of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
Engineering colleges can conduct regular classes for six hours a day. Only the students who have inoculated with at least one dose of Covid vaccine are allowed in the colleges.
From October 18, regular classes for all students in the colleges will start including only those who have administered two vaccine shots. Till then, the online classes will continue.
Regular classes for all PG students will begin while the degree students have to come only on alternative days. The colleges that have adequate classes and space can schedule classes for UG students daily by forming special batches.

Hostels will also open. The classes have to be conducted for 25 hours in a week including both online and offline classes. Vaccination drive will be organised in colleges for the students who are not inoculated.
The teaching and non teaching staff who are carrying, have children aged less than a year or affected by any chronic diseases are allowed to work from home. The attendance of students who are in similar situations will not be made mandatory.
