Thrissur: In connection with allegations that minister A C Moideen violated rules by casting vote before 7 am when polling should actually commence, the district collector submitted a report stating no rules were violated.

It was alleged that the minister cast vote at 6.55 am. However, the district collector stated in the report that no mistake was committed.

The voting started when it was 7 am in the watch of the presiding officer. No rules were violated in this matter, the collector pointed out in the report. The report was submitted to the Election Commissioner.

Minister A C Moideen cast vote in the polling booth at Panangattukara in Thekkumkara of Thrissur. Soon after this, MLA Anil Akkara raised allegation that A C Moideen cast vote violating rules. Congress booth agent filed a complaint to the presiding officer.
