Cochin shipyard gets another threatening email
Kochi: A few days after the Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) received an anonymous email threatening to bomb INS Vikrant, the team of officials probing the incident has received another email threatening to destroy the CSL.
The letter threatens to blow up CSL with fuel tankers. This is the third time, CSL gets such anonymous emails. The investigating officers said the origin of the email is difficult to be traced as they belong to ‘proton category’.
It was on August 24, CSL received the first email threatening to bomb the INS Vikrant, India’s first indigenously built aircraft carrier. Following this, police had registered a case under section 385 of IT Act and the probe was on.
The names and position of a few officials of CSL were mentioned in the first email and the police quizzed them as part of the probe. Now there is a move to handover the case to NIA in view of existing threat.
