Kottayam: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is intervening in the dispute within the NCP. The chief minister will hold discussion with minister A K Saseendran and MLA Mani C Kappan. The CM’s intervention is to stop NCP from leaving the front. The meeting will be held in the coming days.

NCP contested the previous assembly election from four seats and won two. As they won Pala seat in the bypolls, they have three MLAs. Though they are considering seat exchange, MLA Mani C Kappan and NCP state leaders are adamant about not handing over Pala seat.

NCP state leaders have received assurance from NCP national president Sharad Pawar on this matter. Following this, peace-making meetings and discussions take place in Thiruvananthapuram to avoid not leaving the LDF.
