CM should learn from Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, says BJP's Gopalakrishnan
Thiruvananthapuram: BJP leader B Gopalakrishnan said that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan should learn from Kodiyeri Balakrishnan.
The moral obligation shown by Kodiyeri is applicable to Pinarayi Vijayan also. If Pinarayi does not resign, he will be isolated within CPI (M). If the CM has any decency, he must resign as his principal secretary is now in prison.
In a press release, Gopalakrishnan said that the UDF’s predicament was even worse and challenged Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala.
“Does Chennithala have the guts to demand MC Kamaruddin MLA’s resignation? The stance taken in Kodiyeri’s case is also applicable in the case of the Manjeshwaram MLA. Congress must be ready to tell openly the Muslim League about this. Otherwise, they have no right to demand the CM’s resignation,” he said.
