Malappuram: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala said that the lies told by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan regarding deep sea trawling has been proved false. Chennithala alleged that the chief minister was aware of the contract with the US company and his department inked the deal with his knowledge.
The opposition leader was addressing the media after documents proving the chief minister was aware about the deep sea trawling deal came to light. The chief minister had ridiculed the controversy and alleged that the CM’s office is unnecessarily being blamed for the issues.
The chief minister alleged that a conspiracy took place behind the controversies with an intention to mislead the fisherfolk. ‘A great person’ compelled to publicize a PRD advertisement. The person contacted the CM’s office with negative intention. Those with the opposition leader have roles in this, the CM said.
The CM mentioned Kerala Shipping and Inland Navigation Corporation (KSINC) MD N Prasanth as ‘the great person’ in a ridiculing manner. He raised serious allegations against Prasanth and added that more evidence of conspiracy will come to light.
