CM’s health condition satisfactory, medical board formed for treatment
Kozhikode: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who tested COVID positive, is currently undergoing treatment at the Govt. medical college hospital here. The medical bulletin issued on Friday has confirmed that the condition of the CM is satisfactory.
A special medical board was formed for the treatment of the Chief Minister. Health Minister KK Shailaja and others are expected to reach the medical college by Friday noon.
The health minister will also meet the media here.
Pinarayi Vijayan’s daughter Veena, son-in-law Muhammad Riyas and grandson had tested COVID positive earlier. His wife Kamala is also under observation at the medical college.
The Chief Minister took to his social media pages and requested all those who came in contact with him in recent days, to go into 'self-observation'.
Sources from the Chief Minister's Office told PTI that he was asymptomatic.
Pinarayi Vijayan, who was the CPI(M) candidate from Dharmadom in Kannur, had travelled extensively throughout the state during the campaign for the April 6 Assembly polls.
He had also participated in the roadshow at Dharmadom on the last day of the campaign.
