Thiruvananthapuram: Donations to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund till Monday has reached Rs 713.92 crores. An amount of Rs 132.68 crores was donated through the CMDRF payment gateway and UPI and Rs 43 crores donated through Paytm.
In the CMDRF SBI account, Rs 518.24 crore was deposited. Rs 20 crores were given by way of cheques and drafts at the chief minister’s office last Tuesday. The funds received during holidays in other offices were not added to this. So far, 3.91 lakhs people donated via online.
The facility to donate to the relief fund was arranged in the website donation.cmdrf.kerala.gov.in. Apart from the eight banks, now volunteers can donate through payment gateway and Razorpay gateways of IDBI bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Axis Bank and Punjab National Bank.
International banking group Citibank has announced an additional Rs 500 for every donation over Rs 250 done with their card through their website. The extra amount will be given to the voluntary organisation for the relief operations.
Online commercial company Flipkart has announced that funds will be collected through a voluntary organisation. Fashion e-commerce company Myntra is also giving publicity for CMDRF donations.
