Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister’s Additional Private Secretary, CM Raveendran, has been hospitalised yet again.

The Enforcement Directorate had sent a notice to Raveendran asking him to appear for interrogation on Friday. He was taken to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College hospital following this. It is reported that he is suffering from post COVID health issues.

ED had served a notice to CM Raveendran earlier, asking him to appear for interrogation on November 6. However, he soon tested COVID positive and was shifted to a hospital. He was discharged from the hospital the other day. The investigation agency sent another notice asking him to appear for interrogation after he was discharged.

CM Raveendran was served the notice in connection with the transactions in the IT department. Swapna Suresh had stated that apart from M Sivasankar, CM Raveendran had contacted her. The investigation agency received information that along with Sivasankar, CM Raveendran was also involved in the appointment of certain people in the IT department.

ED is about to interrogate the second high level official from the Chief Minister’s office. ED had stated in the court that Sivasankar’s team knew of the gold smuggling activities and that this team was in the Chief Minister’s office. It is in this context that Raveendran’s interrogation becomes significant.
