Thiruvananthapuram: Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Thursday unveiled 114 houses built under the prestigious LIFE Mission.

The houses are for the coastal families in the Pallithottam area of Kollam district.

The project named ‘QSS Neelima’ is part of the 'Punargeham' programme aimed at rehabilitating 18,685 families living within 50 metres from the sea shore and affected by coastal erosion.

The houses were built using the CMDRF fund and the money of the fisheries department. Several other projects under ‘Punargeham’ have already been completed.
