Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan stated that he has directed investigation into the incident in which Kerala Shipping and Inland Navigation Corporation (KSINC) managing director N Prasanth behaved indecently to a lady reporter of Mathrubhumi.

The chief minister informed this during the closing event of the LDF Vikasana Munnetta Yathra in the south zone. Mathrubhumi had requested the chief minister in a written complaint to take appropriate action against N Prasanth for his indecent behaviour to the reporter.

K P Pravitha is a staff reporter at the Kochi unit of Mathrubhumi. An MoU signed by KSINC with a US company had resulted in a controversy recently. When Pravitha tried to seek Prasanth’s response on this matter through WhatsApp, he replied with obscene stickers.

The complaint was handed over to principal secretary of home affairs T K Jose for a probe. The chief minister stated that Prasanth signed the MoU with the US company without informing the government in a bid to create a controversy. T K Jose is also investigating about the MoU.
