Thiruvananthapuram: Leader of Opposition Ramesh Chennithala said that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan should resign if he has dignity. Alleging that such a disgusting government was the first in Kerala’s history, Chennithala said that the people were unable to bear the stink of the administration.
Earlier, the party secretary’s son was summoned by the ED. Now, there is an allegation against a Minister’s son. More allegations against sons and daughters of Ministers are likely to come up the coming days. Swapna Suresh had received commission in Life Mission, which was a project for the poor. The Minister’s son’s connection with Swapna must come out.
Chennithala questioned CPI state secretary Kanam Rajendran’s silence. Where is Kanam Rajendran and the CPI? They are not saying a word. K. T. Kaleel has proved that he is better than thieves in the state, he stated.
The Opposition is demanding the Cabinet’s resignation as serious crimes, corruption and violations of protocol have come to light, he said. Chennithala added that UDF has decided to intensify protests and they will stage hunger strikes in front of the Secretariat and district collectorates on September 22.
