K Sudhakaran
Thiruvananthapuram: KPCC president K Sudhakaran lashed out at chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday in connection with the arrest of protesting Congress activists. He said the CM has turned out to be a public nuisance, who has no tolerance to face a black flag protest. Sudhakaran also accused the CM of making the people captives.
Though the CM boasts over himself, he has no courage to step out without a police escort, said Sudhakaran.
The Youth Congress and KSU are not allowed to schedule any conference or wear black dress if the CM has to participate in any public gathering in that particular district, alleged Sudhakaran.
Youth Congress activists were arrested in Perumbavoor after their conference was blocked 2 hours before the CM’s convoy was to pass on the route. A similar incident happened in Palakkad also, said Sudhakaran.
The cops are being protected even after they misbehaved with a woman Youth Congress activist, who attempted to wave black flag against the CM. If the government has decided to suppress protests by force, Congress will retaliate in the same way, said Sudhakaran.
