Closing nada is violation of SC verdict; Women entry must be accepted: Kodiyeri
Thiruvananthapuram: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said that Tantri has violated the Supreme Court verdict by closing Sabarimala nada. He stated that people must accept women entry as a reality.
CPI(M) state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan told media that the two women have entered the shrine as per the apex court order and the closure of the shrine was against the law of the land.
"People should accept the development as a reality," Balakrishnan said.
Women have failed to enter the temple despite continuous attempts. The government had never tried to create violence using police. Now, two women have visited Sabarimala. It should be decided that women can enter the temple.
Tantri has taken a provocative stand and it is wrong. The Supreme Court must check on what basis he has taken this action. The sub-committee should also intervene in this. Tantri should give more explanation in this regard. It should be investigated if there is intervention from other external sources. The entire responsibility is on the Tantri.
CPM was not obstinate on allowing young women to Sabarimala. The party’s stand was that women who wish for darshan must be given opportunity. We had tried to create a favourable atmosphere. Those who try to create violence will be isolated in the society. There is no relation between women wall and women entry. BJP should end their ridiculous strike.
