Kannur: A report compiled by the anti-ragging committee of Kannur University has given a clean chit to Alan Shuhaib on an alleged ragging incident at Palayad Campus. Earlier, Darmodom Police booked Alan, who is out on bail in the Pantheerankavu UAPA case, after an SFI leader came forward with a ragging complaint.
However, the report prepared by the anti-ragging cell noted that the incident was only an altercation between students, and there is no proof to take further action against Alan. The anti-ragging cell has decided to halt the proceedings against Alan after examining the CCTV footage on the campus and interrogating other students.
According to the complaint lodged by SFI, Alan and his team ragged an SFI worker Adin Subi, a first-year student. Following this, police registered a case and arrested Alan. He was later released on bail.
