Malappuram: A class five student was killed in an accident while crossing the road after deboarding the school bus on Wednesday noon.
Tanoor Nannambra SN UP school student Shafna Sherin (11) is the deceased. She was the daughter of Pandimuttam native Shafi.
The accident happened at around 12.30 pm at Pandimuttam. A goods-carrier auto rickshaw coming from the blindside hit Shafna who was crossing the road from the rear end of the bus.
She was rushed to Tirurangadi taluk hospital and then to a private hospital. However, she could not be saved. The remains have been shifted to the mortuary of the taluk hospital.
A nearby fuel station's CCTV captured the accident. It may be triggering for some of the viewers. Discretion is advised.
