Kochi: The youth who killed himself at Kaloor on Monday evening was reportedly angry about a friend ending the relationship with him.
Thoppumpady native Christopher D’Cruz had attacked his friend over the matter before he cut himself at the busy Kaloor junction.
Police obtained hints over the cause of suicide from the statement of his friend Sachin, who is undergoing treatment from the attack.
Sachin and Christopher were close friends. However, the decision of Sachin to back off from the friendship had allegedly provoked the other. On Monday, Christopher summoned Sachin to Kaloor and demanded to continue the relationship. Christopher stabbed Sachin’s neck when the latter denied the request. Though seriously injured, Sachin could escape from the grip of Christopher. Meanwhile, Christopher killed himself.
Meanwhile, the parents of Christopher said that their son was afraid of seeing blood and they couldn't believe the news. Mother Mario Cruz said there was nothing suspicious in the acts of her son in his last days. She added that Sachin used to visit their home frequently and they were close friends.
Christopher was a BTech holder and was working at a tech company in Kaloor.
