Kollam: A clash erupted at Changankulangara in Ochira over the ownership of a temple land. Two persons were injured in the ruckus between two groups over the issue of the ownership of the Pulithitta temple land. The injured persons were rushed to Alappuzha medical college hospital.

The temple that was under the ownership of a family was later transferred to a trust, which included local residents. Following this, disputes over ownership of the land arose. A case regarding the dispute is pending before the court.

On the other day, one group removed a board that contained the name and the registration number of the temple. Some people recorded this on their phone. When the other group questioned the removal of the board, the argument broke into a fistfight between the two groups.

Police reached the spot and took the situation under control. Police have registered a case over the incident. Police personnel have been deployed in the area after examining the possibility of another conflict.
