Kochi: Hours after the High Court cancelled the anticipatory bail of veteran writer Civic Chandran, the survivor who lodged the first sexual assault complaint has come revealing her name.
In a statement given to mathrubhumi.com, the complainant Lisa Pulparambil said she has regained the self-confidence that was lost during the previous verdict.
“I had already decided to come to the fore once a favourable verdict is pronounced in the case. Let this verdict be a lesson for all those men who judge a woman based on her clothes and those who attack women based on the preconceived notion that they do not have the privileges granted by the society,” she said in her statement.
The complainant also thanked everyone who believed in her and presented her victory to all the other survivors who are unable to speak out the truth.
