Thiruvananthapuram: Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) raised sharp criticism against the KSEB chairman over a Facebook post. CITU slammed that he is trying to cover up corruption and enforce a political agenda.

In a Facebook post, Chairman of Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB), Dr B Ashok alleged major irregularities in the board during the first term of the Left government.
Union leaders said that corruption found its ground after Ashok joined the board as its chairman. They added that the union intervened only after analysing that he misused his powers while taking decisions. The matter was informed to the Minister for Electricity as well.

The union leaders also pointed out that he was in charge of KSEB when most of the corruption he mentioned in the Facebook post happened.

On Monday, Dr B Ashok took to his Facebook and penned a post over the rising protests by Left organisations against the management's decision to hand over the security of the KSEB headquarters building to the State Industrial Security Force (SISF). He also pointed out that the last salary revision was carried out without permission from the government and the Attorney General has pointed out this matter.
