CISF Jawan meets with road accident in Bengaluru, dies

Bangalore: In an unfortunate incident, a jawan of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) died in a road accident in Bengaluru on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as P Anand (33), a native of Naduvannur.

The incident took place at 6.15 pm between JS Technical College and Fantasy Golf Resort near Sadahalli Gate. As per reports, an unidentified vehicle hit Anand’s bike resulting in the accident.

Anand, who was on his way back to Rakshasadhan barrack after shopping, sustained severe injuries on his head and was soon rushed to a private hospital. He succumbed to his injuries around 7.30 pm.

Anand was a ground duty constable in the CISF. He had received a 15-day leave and was reportedly planning to come home.

He is survived by his mother Malathy, wife Amritha, son Gyan Dev and brother Aravind (Qatar).
