Kannur: A police Circle Inspector, who showered abuse and expletives on roadside sellers in Cherupuzha here has been transferred.
M. P. Vineesh Kumar has been transferred to Kerala Armed Police 4th battalion for abusing and threatening roadside sellers.
Videos of the CI abusing roadside sellers had gone viral on social media. The incident took place near Cherupuzha-Chittarikkal bridge on November 21.
The video showed the CI and team asking roadside sellers to pack up and leave the spot. Even when the sellers agreed to move their vehicles from the spot, the CI picked up an argument and started abusing the traders.
