Ernakulam: In the missing case of Kochi central Circle Inspector, Mathrubhumi news has recovered his WhatsApp messages and CCTV visuals. In the WhatsApp message, Navas has informed his relative that he is going for a trip and requested him to send his mother to his quarters as his wife is not well. A probe is on to locate the Circle Inspector.
Police found that Navas went to Kayamkulam in the vehicle of a policeman who works in KSEB vigilance. The policeman took Navas in his vehicle after finding him in a bus at Cherthala. Navas told the policeman that he is going to the court. But there is no information on Navas after he alighted at Kayamkulam.
The CCTV visuals also revealed Navas boarding a KSRTC bus to Thiruvananthapuram from Kayamkulam. As his phone was switched off, the cyber cell also failed to locate him. It is also learned that he changed his sim card too.
Three teams of police personnel have been deployed to trace him. Apart from this, special team, including special branch officials, are deployed in each district. Police have strengthened search to locate the missing cop.
It is revealed that Navas had some difference of opinion with Ernakulam Assistant Commissioner. A probe is on regarding this fact too. Before he went missing, he had withdrawn Rs 10,000 from ATM. He informed his police driver that he is leaving for a 10-day trip.
Meanwhile, a complaint from his wife stated that he went missing from Thursday morning. Her complaint noted that he arrived in their quarters in the wee hours on Thursday.
“Nawas who was sleeping went missing around 5.40 in the morning. I phoned him but his phone was switched off, “said his wife in the complaint.
