Kakkanad: Syro Malabar Synod said that girls belonging to Christian community are being murdered over love jihad nowadays in Kerala. The synod condoled the death of the girl who was recently killed.
The church also expressed concern over love jihad in Kerala and opined that it will affect the communal harmony and peace of the state.
Among the 21 people who were recruited to Islamic State, half were converted from Christianity. The synod also noted complaints on forced religious conversion of girls over love affair.
The Synod demanded action against love jihad and religious conversion as a social issue apart from a religious matter.
The Syro Malabar Synod also expressed concern over the increasing violence against Christians across the globe.
