Thiruvananthapuram: Terming the remarks of Congress leader and MP Kodikunnil Suresh irrelevant in the present scenario, the Minister for Devaswom K Radhakrishnan has said that the party and public have good faith in him and it is the key reason why he was given a big responsibility of a minister.
Earlier, Kodikunnil Suresh made a controversial remark against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The MP said that if Pinarayi Vijayan was a renaissance leader, his daughter should have married a man belonging to Scheduled Caste. Kodikunnil Suresh further alleged that the chief minister appointed his loyal aide to control a minister who belonged to scheduled caste.
“I know very well how to handle things. This is not the first time; I was given a responsibility by party. Even in 1996, when I was even younger, party had made me a minister. I discharged my duties perfectly. I don’t need the certificate of Kodikunnil Suresh,” said the minister.
K Radhakrishnan also said that the government, led-by Pinarayi Vijayan, has been delivering good governance and envious opponents like him might resort to such tactics to tarnish the image of the government. By doing these, Congress has been trying to hide their internal issues, he added.
