Thiruvananthapuram: Congress MLA Anwar Sadath has lodged a complaint with the Speaker alleging the Chief Minister has violated the rights in the K-Rail issue. A rights violation notice was moved stating a copy of the K-Rail DPR is said to be tabled in the Assembly but it was not given.
Anwar Sadath, in an unstarred question, asked about the details of the DPR. He said that there has been a violation in the reply given by the Chief Minister on October 27. “Copies of the Detailed Project Report and the Rapid Environment Impact Study Report on the Thiruvananthapuram-Kasaragod Semi Expressway are available? Can you clarify whether these have been approved by the government?” asked Anwar Sadath.
The reply given by the Chief Minister was as follows: “A copy of the Rapid Environmental Impact Assessment and DPR for the SilverLine is included in the appendix (CD). It has been approved by the government.”
However, Anwar Sadath pointed out that he had not received the DPR content. The information in the above CD has not been made available till date through e-Niyamasabha or other means. Anwar Sadath said in a letter to the Speaker that this was violation of his rights as a member.
