The incident in question occurred on Sunday, May 28, at the Cherupuzha bus stand. While the bus was stationed at the stand, awaiting departure from Cherupuzha to Taliparamba, the accused exposed himself. A young woman, present as a passenger on the bus, recorded the incident on her mobile phone and later shared it on social media, bringing the matter to light. Subsequently, the police took a statement from the woman and initiated legal proceedings.

At the time of the incident, the accused and the woman were the only passengers on the bus. Seated one row behind her, the man inquired about the bus's departure time before flashing. Despite realising that he was being filmed, he persisted with his actions.

Upon the arrival of the bus staff, the accused hastily disembarked. The woman then alerted the bus staff about the incident, and they jointly attempted to locate the suspect, but their efforts proved futile. Subsequently, the woman shared the distressing ordeal on social media.
