Chennithala welcomes Kappan to UDF; Mullappally promises party symbol

Kochi: Opposition Leader Ramesh Chennithala on Thursday welcomed NCP leader Mani C Kappan to UDF.

He also stated that if Kappan wishes to join UDF’s ‘Aishwarya Kerala Yatra’, he is more than welcome.

The Congress leader also stated that a section of the JDS has held talks with UDF.

Meanwhile, KPCC President Mullappally Ramachandran said that Congress is ready to provide Kappan with party’s hand symbol. He also said that UDF is ready to give the Pala seat to Kappan if he joins the front.

However, no official discussions have been held with Kappan. But we are happy to welcome him, Ramachandran added.
