Chennithala slams CM for mentioning about mental state of all who criticize him
Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala said that people should understand the meaning when a person states that everyone else except him is in a special mental state.
"When a journalist and I asked about corruption, Pinarayi Vijayan said that we were in a special mental state. He said the same thing to V S Achuthanandan also after he spoke against the ruling faction at CPM state conference held in Alappuzha," Chennithala said.
Opposition leader also informed that he received a copy of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of the Life Mission deal with Red Crescent the previous night.
Ramesh Chennithala had announced on Wednesday that he was resigning from the post of special invitee in the Life Mission task force as he did not get a copy of the MoU even one month after requesting. Soon after this, he received the copy of the MoU.
The opposition is not supposed to support the corruption and wrongdoings of the government. The office of the CM is helping with gold smuggling. The residence of the party secretary is involved in a drug case. One member of the cabinet is quizzed by 3 central agencies, he said.
"Journalists ask questions during press meets. The CM always takes an arrogant stand towards them. No other ruler in the history of the state has taken such a stand," he said.
The fresh cases of COVID shows that the state's resistance activities were not effective. The number of tests is dropping and the number of patients is increasing day by day. Only the state government is responsible for this, Chennithala said.
