Thiruvananthapuram: Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala on Thursday alleged that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has links to the owners of two companies that won the subcontract to set up AI-driven surveillance cameras in the state. He levelled allegations against the two companies--TROIS and Presadio Technologies, and released a set of purported documents to back his claims.
"Jitheesh is the director of TROIS, the company that was brought to the fore by SRIT to provide technical support for the AI camera deal. Jitheesh is also the executive director of SRIT. He is behind the curtain of several projects in Kerala," he said.
Chennithala alleged that Ramjith, the owner of Presadio Technologies --one of the two companies that won the subcontract-- is a frequent visitor at Cliff House. He questioned the apparent link between Ramjith and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
SRIT received the contract for Kerala Government projects like K-FON – Kerala Fibre Optic Network and Kerala State Wide Area Network (KSWAN), which in turn, issued subcontracts to Presadio.
Chennithala called for a comprehensive probe to examine various companies linked with these projects.
