Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala said that fake voters were included in the voters list. A planned move was behind creating 4-5 votes in the name of same person, Chennithala alleged in a press meet held here.
The opposition leader also released the names of fake voters in the list. There are 4506 fake voters in Kazhakkoottam, 2534 in Kollam, 1436 in Thrikkarippur, 6171 in Nadapuram, 4611 in Koyilandy, 3525 in Koothuparamba and 4750 in Ambalappuzha. There was a state-level conspiracy behind adding fake voters, he said.
A voter named Kumari in Uduma constituency has five votes. She has also been given 5 electoral ID cards using same photo and address. The ID cards have different numbers too. This was done with the help of officials who support ruling party. A complaint will be filed with the Election Commission in this regard, he said.
Balashankar's remark serious
Reacting to the revelation of RSS ideologue R Balashankar regarding the secret deal between CPM and BJP, Chennithala said that his statement cannot be neglected. He is a leader who has close connection with the prime minister. His statement has proved right what Congress has been saying already, Chennithala said.
