Chavara police arrests soldier from Kashmir in POCSO case
Chavara South: Chavara South police arrested soldier Anu Mohan (32) from Kashmir for raping a minor girl.
The accused is a native of Chavara. Police informed that during the School Science Exhibition of 2019, the accused had taken the girl by car and raped her at different locations. Subsequently police arrested him as per the statement of the victim.
The military officers and the Jammu Kashmir police commissioner brought Anu Mohan from Chumathang to a military camp at Jauri and handed him over to the Kerala police team on July 15. A team comprising Sub Inspector Satheesh Sekhar, Grade ASI Harikrishnan, SHO PG Madhu, Inspectors Vijayakumar and Christin Antony went to Kashmir to nab the accused. After registering POCSO case, the team returned by train and reported at the Chavara South police station on Sunday night.
