New Delhi: The Supreme Court of India has directed the Kerala High Court to consider the appeal filed by Chandrabose murder case accused Muhammad Nisham against the court verdict sentencing him to life imprisonment. The SC division bench, including justice Indira Banerjee and AS Bopanna, asked the High Court to consider the appeal within 6 months.
If the HC fails to take up the appeal, the accused can approach the court to freeze the order or obtain bail, the SC observed in its order.
Meanwhile, the SC rejected Muhammad Nisham's bail application. Muhammad Nisham is convicted of murdering Chandrabose, a security guard in his apartment, by hitting his vehicle on him. The incident took place on January 29, 2015 in Thrissur.
