Chances of infiltration; Prohibitory order at Sabarimala extended
Pathanamthitta: The prohibitory order enforced at Sabarimala has been extended till January 14 midnight in account of the possibility of infiltration by protestors. An order in this regard has been issued by Pathanamthitta district magistrate.
This measure is taken in order to ensure the security of the pilgrims and to prevent any violent incidents by protestors, the order said.
The prohibitory order was extended following the request from the district police chief citing the above reasons, it also noted.
Section 144 has been imposed from Ilavungal to Sannidhanam where protests, public meets and roadblocks have been banned.
