Chaitra Teresa John appointed anti-terrorist squad chief
Thiruvananthapuram: The government has issued an order appointing SP Chaitra Teresa John as the chief of anti-terrorist squad. Chaitra, the IPS officer from 2015 batch, is the first woman to be appointed to this post.
Earlier Chaitra, who was an ACP then, was transferred after a controversy erupted when she conducted a raid in CPM district committee office.
At present she is in charge of the women battalion.
