CF Thomas will be Kerala Congress (M) chairman: PJ Joseph
Kochi: P. J. Joseph said that C. F. Thomas will be elected the chairman of Kerala Congress (M).
“There is a case in the court regarding party. Once the court pronounces a verdict, Thomas will be elected party chairman, said Joseph. He was speaking to media following the leaders meeting of Joseph faction,” he said.
Joseph claimed that 15 out of the 27 members of the leadership committee took part in the meeting. C. F. Thomas MLA, senior leader Joy Abraham, and Saji Manjakkadamban were among those present. They had been strongly supporting K. M. Mani earlier.
The joseph faction is holding a meeting after Jose K Mani convened a state committee meeting of the party.
“If members who left the party comes back after correcting their mistake, we can move forward together. Today’s meeting convened by us is the official one as we have the authority according to the party norms. The meeting which elected a chairman in just three-and-a-half minutes was called by a person who did not have the authority to convene a meeting. That meeting witnessed several fraudulent moves including fake signatures,” Joseph said.
Joseph said that in the Pala by-election, his party would support the candidate decided by UDF, even if it is Nisha Jose K Mani. He added that his was the real Kerala Congress (M) and that they were together.
