Kottayam: NITI Aayog observed that the rubber sector has developed to a level at which it requires no more support or controls from the government.

If a minor aid or regulation is found necessary, the plantation department under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry must deal with it, noted the observation document submitted in connection with the rubber bill.

According to the latest proposals, the associations under the rubber industry and the state governments have to carry forward the measures which should be taken by the rubber board.

The bills regarding various sectors were presented as the central government decided to revamp the rules pertaining to cash crops.

Following the examination of the Ministry of Law, the bill has been reserved for collecting the opinions of various ministries.
