Kochi: The BJP central leadership has instructed the state leadership to avoid any form of clashes within the party ahead of the Assembly election next year. The instruction was conveyed by CP Radhakrishnan, who is in charge of Kerala BJP, during the party's core committee meeting at Kochi to review the result of LSG polls.

The Muraleedharan faction of the BJP hit out against Sobha Surendran for staying away from election works. They stated that this kind of behaviour invites disciplinary action and demanded action to be taken against her in this regard.

However, leaders of Krishnadas faction wanted the problem to be solved amicably. They informed that both parties should be ready for a compromise.

The central leadership does not want to aggravate the issue by taking actions ahead of the Assembly election. CP Radhakrishnan informed during the meeting that Sobha Surendran could not take part in the election works due to personal reasons. Earlier, he had stated the same to the media as well.
